PHILADELPHIA – October 17, 2008 – Friday night marked the end of a tough day of walking for thousands of women in Philadelphia. And there’s still two more days to go. For three days, some 3,100 people will walk 20 miles per day. It’s the “Breast Cancer Three Day,” a walk for hope and an inspiration for all the women who have been lost to the disease, and for all the woman who have survived it. By Sunday they will have walked 60 miles around the Philadelphia area.
“It’s just amazing. I know she’s (Elise Gambos) here with us helping us make it through,” said Jennifer Degaetano of Mechanicsburg, PA.
